Cat Moloney is a Music Graduate of Victorian College of the Arts. As a singer and songwriter, Cat has been performing professionally for nearly 20 years in original, corporate and cover bands. Cat is based in Melbourne, but also performs nationally around Australia and Internationally. Cat has a passion for many genres of music, with a strong background and love for not only pop music, but a special interest and expertise in jazz, funk, soul and R’n’B.Cat Moloney has worked at all levels in the music industry, including working alongside the likes of David Hobson (Composer, Pop & Opera singer), Susie A’hern (Singer / Songwriter), David Hirschfelder (Film Score Composer & ex-Little River band), Simon Binks (Australian Crawl). Cat can also be heard singing on many radio jingles and television commercials (Brandtalk Jingles).
On top of Cat’s extensive music training and experience in entertainment, she has spent many years teaching singing in Secondary Colleges and Primary Schools, including offering Private Tuition (by audition). Cat offers private tuition for singing lessons, voice lessons and vocal coaching. Her lessons cater to all ages and levels (beginner-advanced) and provide tuition in all contemporary genres, accommodating all interests in singing: from a relaxed, enjoyable environment for beginners to explore their voice and develop self-confidence, to those looking for intense training in pursuit of a career in the music industry. Through professional guidance, students are given the opportunity to develop and enhance their performance skills in singing, and all aspects of stage presentation.
Cat Moloney also has a Masters Degree in Speech & Language Pathology (University of Sydney). This allows Cat to not only study the practice of her instrument and give expert training to her singing students, but allows her to bring much help to others who present with voice disorders or need vocal coaching and rehabilitation. Cat runs her own Private practice – Speech Bubble Speech & Language therapy and provides Speech Pathology Services for Children & Adults. Catherine Moloney specialises in therapy for Voice disorders, Paediatric language delay & early intervention, Receptive & Expressive language disorders, Articulation & Phonology, Fluency & Central Auditory Processing therapy.
